What are you doing to prepare for the polar vortex?
I am less concerned about temperatures dropping into the 30’s and more concerned about the fact that Honeycrisp Apple season is almost over. Get a hat.
Stocked up on the essentials, beer and soup. Honestly, it can’t be as bad as last year… can it?
Mostly just grabbing my cold weather gear and flipping my central air unit from A/C to heater. I live a very hard life.
Slipping into a downward spiral of seasonal depression and pricing condos in Miami. At least we still have Christmas to look forward to? I knew I should’ve bought those furry clearance boots in July.
How did you celebrate Veterans Day?
Thanked all of our veterans for their service, participated in some funtivities at work, and went to the gym. I live an exciting life.
I thank every veteran I know and every one I see on the street. Whether or not you agree with a war, it’s important to support the actual people who are fighting for you.
Read a couple news articles that were featured on the topic. THANKS FOR SERVING OUR COUNTRY!
By saying Thank You as many times as I can. I’m lucky to know a lot of Veterans and even luckier because they all made it home; my gratitude is eternal.
What are you more thankful for a hat or gloves?
Hat. Gloves suck. 73% of the time your hands are still cold, even with them on. Mittens though. Mittens are wonderful.
I’d have to say gloves. Hats mess with my ‘do, which is something it’s taken me years to cultivate.
Neither. My pockets do a better job keeping my hands warm than gloves and I don’t wear hats because it messes up my glorious hair. I am going to write-in earmuffs, since the only part of my head that gets cold is my ears. SO, I can keep my ears warm while keeping my hair perfect for all the world to see. True Story
From an impractical standpoint? Hats, because they are so darn cute. I have a lot of hair on my head to keep me warm, which means that from a practical standpoint, gloves are the way to go. Although gloves can be cute too. Remember Michelle Obama’s purple leather gloves at the 2012 inauguration? Those were some great gloves. I’m rambling.
Now that your Sundays are free, since the Bears’ season is over, what are you going to do with all that extra time?
I should probably start doing productive things like cleaning or wedding things, but the reality is I’ll probably just watch something else on TV.
Sundays free? Clearly you don’t watch nerd television. I’ve got more shows than the Apollo to worry about until the winter hiatus.
Same thing I have been doing every Sunday. Recover from my hangover. Probably still be watching the games, except for instead of watching to see how the Bears compete this season, I am watching to see if they do enough so that coaches will keep their jobs.
I’m sure I’ll still figure out an excuse for Sunday Funday. A crappy home team is the exact reason why Fantasy Leagues exist–to give you something to root for when there’s seemingly no hope.
