Did you nerd out on all the “May The 4th Be With You” posts?

Kim P

Kim P.

Um. No. I prefer the “It’s gonna be May” post on April 30th.Justin Timberlake Its gonna be may

Ashley B.

Ashley B.

I didn’t nerd out, but I did wish the internet a Happy Star Wars Day. You kind of have to or else you get a point on your nerd license.

Angelo B.

Angelo B.

I don’t deny my nerd status when it comes to Marvel/DC comics or video games, but I actually am not a big nerd with it comes to Star Wars.  Therefore, I didn’t do much nerding out that day.

Molly K.

Molly K.

I did not. It actually took me awhile to get it, and then I celebrated with an eyeroll.

With fest season right around the corner, what are your plans for navigating through all of them?

Kim with the rings

Kim P.

Look at a schedule, see what’s around, and then decide if I want to go or not. Usually the answer is no because people.

Ashley B.

Ashley B.

I’m more jazzed about convention season. San Diego Comic Con, AwesomeCon, DragonCon etc

Angelo B.

Angelo B.

Like I do everything in life, with proper planning and a good system in place. Then when the time comes, the plan fails, I scramble to adapt and try go with the flow, but it becomes too overwhelming so I just curl up into a ball and wait for the day to end.

Molly K.

Molly K.

You can’t go with a plan. You just have to go with a beer and a sense of adventure!

What advice would you give a Chicagoan that decided to move to the burbs.

Kim with the rings

Kim P.

Don’t do it! Kidding. I feel like this question is for me, so if I could have given myself some advice it would be SAVE YO MONEY! PAINT AIN’T CHEAP!

Ashley B.

Ashley B.

Be sure to buy a fake goose for your front porch and a ton of holiday-themed outfits so you can dress the goose up and be festive 365 days out of the year. I hear it’s tradition in the burbs.

Angelo B.

Angelo B.

As someone who does NOT ever plan on moving back to the burbs, I don’t have any advice to give them.  All I can do is wish them good luck and it was nice knowing them.  It may not seem like they are moving far away, but usually once someone moves to the burbs they are less likely to want to come back into the city to hang out, which decreases time with city friends.

Come back?
