Child stuck in car

People are dumb. That’s really what it all boils down to. Take this dad for instance. An unidentified man (lucky for him) called 911 after realizing he had “forgotten” his 1-year-old daughter in the backseat of his SUV after parking it at the train station at North Quincy in Massachusetts. “I left my 1-year-old baby in my SUV by accident this morning.” He said to a 911 dispatcher. “I am on my way back to the station now.”

Police and EMT responded and found the little girl safe in the car. She had been in there for about 35 minutes. He had this to say as his excuse. “The baby had fallen asleep in the child seat and I went into auto pilot. I had what I thought was a safe-guard procedure against this in place that I neglected to use today. Obviously, we will be doing more to prevent this going forward.”

dont-forget-babyAll we have to say is what an idiot! Come on dude, how do you just forget your child is in the car? At least he had the decency to call the police and ask for help before something real bad could have happened. Can’t wait until that story is told when she is a teenager!

Hayley Dawn Hampton, 28, was arrested this past Monday after leaving her 4-year-old in the back of her Nissan Xterra in Oklahoma City. She was picking up her boyfriend from Lumpy’s Sports Bar (seriously? It’s called Lumpy’s?), when her friends asked her to celebrate Mother’s Day with a drink. The boyfriend allegedly offered to stay outside to watch the child but said he came back in the bar 15 minutes later. However, the bartender does not remember seeing him do so.

It seems as though the bartender had called the cops after noticing the child alone in the car. She was taken to the Oklahoma City jail and the child was released to a family member. This girl is pretty bad but she also has some awesome (terrible) friends, and let’s not forget, quite the winner of a boyfriend.
